While we Americans see nobility as a single foreign class designation. In most European countries, it is a two to six tier system which could be climbed either through the passage of time, admission to certain orders and bodies or by the monarch's grace. It should be noted that being a Knight of Magistral Grace of the SMOM is considered a proof of personal nobility (by those who care about such things).
After the past day's posts, I am still at a loss as to what an English Honorary Grant is. If it is nothing more than a devisal of arms, our humble body designs them regularly for society members.
